Here’s a pretty straight-forward tip men. Take your family out to drive around and see the beautiful Christmas light displays in your community. Seems pretty simple, but here’s how you can make it special.
A house in our neighborhood this year.
Get the kids and wife to dress in their favorite Christmas pajamas.
Make a thermos of piping-hot cocoa.
Bring an assortment of your favorite Christmas candy.
Find a great Christmas radio station or playlist on Spotify to provide the soundtrack for the trip.
Do some research. Most communities will have an online listing of the best houses to see this time of year. Save the list and to make it extra easy, add all of them to Google Maps and label them. This allows you to see all of the locations and reduce wasted travel from one house to the next.
Bring some canned goods. Many of the larger displays use the season to gather donations for the local food bank. It’s a easy way to teach your kids about giving back.
